  • Perhaps it is today that I finally understood what study smart really means. I flunk my physics common test so badly. It’s not like I haven’t tried, but maybe the way I did it wasn’t right. It is demoralizing.

I feel like I haven’t been putting effort into my work. And I never asked why, cause I simply think it is alright and I can live with it. Yea, yea, and the results show. Pathetic results. Short of effort. Where is the motivation, where is the initiative.

God. I am okay with people who believe in god, who have a religion because those are good. And there our principal strikes again. I can’t recall his exact words, simply because he just kept repeating his points. Like Nnehs said, it is blasphemy. And for ****’s sake, he said the tutors are our gods, our angels. Absurd? Duh.

His analogies are beyond redemption. If his intention was to let us know that we have to respect our tutors, just put it that way. Angels? God? Is it even necessary? If our principal was a god-in-reign, he has to be Salmoneus, who was killed by Zeus for imitating him by loudly imitating thunder. The implication? Using authority to demand respect (worship).

And I am still being scolded by teachers for being talkative… ever since primary school. Gee.

    Saturday

Huiyan gave me a call at 8pm and got me heading down to Toa Payoh Stadium for the trilympics event!

So I walked/ran a total of 50 laps, 20km by the break of dawn. Pushed Shawn & Fanndly in a wheelchair… Strolled with Rachel… Jogged with Melissa - all in my converse canvas shoe. Ended up with 3 plasters after reaching home =/ But 50km! Woot! OMG, Aiksong completed 103 laps!

By the time I reached, I only managed to see Melissa, Shawn, Munkit and Huiyan there. Most of the hours were spent playing cards with Anges, Shawn, Bryan, Mr. Choo and people!

Some people went to extinguish a camp-fire and it looked darn cool! It’s like the sky ripping apart and a holy light shines from above! Woahhh.

When Shawn, Munkit, Anges and I went to have breakfast at Mac at 5AM, some residents screamed down for us to be quiet =x Anges actually poured honey over my hashbrown (thanks to Shawn’s stupid idea!) and it tasted like, urgh.

I love the break of dawn. It is so… beautiful.

Off to sleep! Haven’t slept a wink for the whole night =/

    Friday

Getting good or bad teachers ain’t really up to us. When the good ones go, it is still not up to us. Thanks Mr. Kwek.

Max came up with the idea of this gift. Pengyang bought the cake. Melanie and Jasmine did the board. So cool right?

And yes, economics tutorial class no longer thrills me. It bores me to the core.

The hectic floating-tests week is finally over! =)

OMG I was clueless that today was Mr. Kwek’s last day as our mathematics teacher and I was not there for the class! Shyt. I was at CCK Stadium for the Inter-school Track & Field Finals, having some ushering duties.

    The Ushering
When I compare our job-scope to those at the stand and prize-receiving station, I guess it is pretty relaxed already. We just have to keep standing, that’s all we can ever complain about if we need to.

OMG today we really saw some n00bs from reputable schools. HCI little felllows love to crowd around the veding machine and scam the machine, by causing jam in the machine to gain refund and drink at the same time. Losers! So pathetic to see them doing this.

And 2 raffles guys fought, a little. Oh and I stood there watching one of them cry after the conflict. Like, LOL?

    Kwek Quack
Okay, this is pretty screwed up. It’s like I was totally clueless that today was his last class with us, and we may not see him in JJ again? Well, it’s not really those special affections that made me feel regretful for not being able to attend class today, but rather, it’s the fact that he was a teacher who was willing to dedicate his time to help us improve, whole-heartly.

Well, we joke about him every now and then, but those merits cannot be written off. First impression was, he probably can’t make it (well~ was judging by his looks that time) but it is still better to have him replace our math teacher that time. As time passes, guess things changed. Its the ups and downs, and we can never forget the jokes we made out of him :D

I wish him all the best in whatever he’s gonna do! And I will make sure my upcoming math test scores will definitely be higher than my maple-story level! LOL. Quack Quack Quack!

Kays I am off to sleep, it’s now 10.25PM. 2 hours earlier than usual but I am really tired out. I am looking forward to tomorrow but not the economics tutorial class I am gonna have. Zzz.

    Floating tests kills.

Chinese test from 12.30PM to 2PM.
Physics SPA from 2.30PM to 4PM.
Economics test from 4.30PM to 6.15PM.

    Ouch.

Don’t feel stressed people. Tests ain’t everything. Even if they are (yea, pretty important), just take some time off and laugh away with friends. Guess it works for me, so it probably does for somebody else!

P.S: Happy Birthday to Yilin in advance! The 15 who I actually treat as 17! (LOL, she is probably gonna give me the =( look if she sees this)

This Monday was almost very good. Well actually, this is the first Monday of a school term that I don’t feel term. Oh, and Happy Birthday Kaiyan! (Zzz, hope she don’t mind that present)

So why is it almost very good? It would have been better if:
Our economics teacher is not the economics teacher I am having now! Curse it.

I think my classmates would agree on this: this is the first time we felt that our economics teacher should be changed. Let’s take the time machine and review this awful comparison:

2nd Week of 2nd School Term: Miss Chew took our class for the first time, replacing Mr. Tan
(She was a new teacher, so its pretty doubtful. But she turned out to be awesome!)

Before June Holidays: Miss Chew had to leave, Mr. Tan replaces her.
(Duh, we loved her okay. But Mr Tan is… wow.)

And yes, this time it really sucks to the core. Maybe she is full of knowledge of economics. Maybe she can explain things well. Maybe she holds a wow-degree. I dunno, but those factors don’t contribute to my dismay towards her. She simply cannot relate to us in the right way. OMG I have to include the SMS she sent to us:

O8s22.i hve checkd wif è gp pp tat u did nt go 4 lect on fri neither did u come 4 econ compulsory make up.hence i wil take u as awol n u wil b heavily punishd in terms of active participatn.unless u can give me a valid reason by 2day.è gp lect oso end by 5:15 n there was no reason u cud nt go 4 both.i hope this is è last time if nt i wil submit ur names 2 è general off.make sure u get è model ans frm s25 too.ms law

Kinda unreadable but bear with it

I don’t see why we have to conform to her burning desire to hold a make-up class in the very last minute, and reject all our plans for the day.

I don’t see why we should have make-up class when she wasted a good 1 period of class during curriculum time getting us to nowhere.

I don’t see why we should explain ourselves for not being there for the make-up class when it was obvious enough.

And most of all, I don’t see her eye to eye.

My resolve? My interest in economics will have nothing to do with her. I will work hard to do well, to compensate for the fact that I don’t have a economics teacher (in my reality).

I remembered Jocelyn telling me that she might have googled for blogs that wrote about her. Well, when Jocelyn thought that I should not write about her just in case she may see, it doesn’t matter. I would have told her these anyways if she opened her ears and be open to critics for even half-a-minute.

It is still a busy week, so I will strike her off until then =)
Oh yes, I am blunt about this, big deal. I believe in freedom of speech.

    Monday: GP CT Paper 1
Tuesday: Physics SPA, Chinese CT, Economics CT
    Wednesday: Chinese A-level Listening Comprehension
    Thursday: BREAK FROM TESTS
Friday: GP CT Paper 2, History CT

    I gotta get thru this.

Congratulations Shawn! You are now level 17!

Shenn and I on the bus…

… Along with Melissa and Winifred. We sneaked out to get Shawn’s birthday cake! We told him we were going out to have cheese cake as an excuse (LOL).

    The ‘cake’!

He still managed to cut it anyways, how wonderful~

    Dilemma: Oops… how to divide?

S22! See, we let him be taller than all of us just for today!

    Again, happy 17!
