Song of the Year/Feel of the Year

Boyzone - Mystical Experience
And when you’re with me the world is full of passion,
And when you touch me a magical reaction.

I guess those 2 lines are self-explanatory so no major elaboration there.

Photo of the Year

Reflection
I don’t take reflections very often so here should be one, taken at Bugis MRT station with Wei Na & Pei Xuan, dated November. It wasn’t exactly a pleasant trip since the girls left one by one, until it was down to the 3 of us! Wei Na left shortly after we took this photo too.

Temptation
This is a nicely captured one, Yun Ru & Edward hugging during a rehearsal for the Cultural Night performance on November 21st in 5N2 classroom. This doesn’t look like a hug at all, it’s like a foreplay to a kiss!

Friends & I
Taken on the cultural night at Victorian Theatre, a photo of Zhuang Shu, Pei Xuan and I. Why this photo? Simple. Zhuang Shu looks kinda cute, Pei Xuan looks pretty, and I look awesomely handsome =)

Humor
Sweet celebration of the king’s birthday, Andy! We were giving him a proper royal welcoming on the 29th of July at West Coast Park! We drove him into the lamp-post and it was hell of a ride there, but we had so much fun.

Self-Photo
This was taken lately, but I think this ought to be my favorite. There are some I like a lot of somehow they were overshadowed by this one. Pei Xuan always tell me some of them are too … scary =) Especially the black and white ones, remember the pencil one?

Video of the Year

YCSS: 1000 Years of Love
I’ve only done 3 videos this year, the first being the chinese media camp production, the second is the english reading project while the third, is the infamous 1000 Years of Love. I would have picked my EL project video for the video of the year but somehow, the latter has a more personal impact to me =) You may view the vide at Youtube by clicking the thumbnail!

Moment in School of the Year

Feburary 14th, “I wanna stay by the staircase!” moment.
I don’t know how many remembers this but I think it should be somewhere in my archives. I don’t know why but it just seems that my classroom is suddenly filled with curious eyes to catch me embaraased!

Performance of the Year

Cultural Nite ‘06
I don’t know if this was a curse or something, but I never acted on stage before in 2006. Though I’m the one who writes the scripts and generates the storyline, they still come alive because of my fellow drama-mates. I’ve begun to becoem highly active in dance from this year onwards, and that should be a right decision. The following is a list of performances I’m involved in:

Drama
. Feb 16th / “What’ll Become of Us” . Anti-Drug Abuse
. Apr 04th / “A Journey To Understand” . International Friendship Day
. Aug 31st / “The Ones who Inspire” . Teacher’s Day Celebration
. Nov 30th / “Delroy” . Cultural Night ‘06

Dance
. Jul 29th / “Puppets” . Ballet Under the Stars
. Aug 05th / “Puppets” . National Day Celebration at TJCCC
. Aug 31st / “Puppets” . Teacher’s Day Celebration
. Nov 30th / “Beauty of Traditions” . Cultural Nite ‘06
. Nov 30th / “La danse avec elan” . Cultural Nite ‘06
. Nov 30th / “Family Mark” . Cultural Nite ‘06

The last day of 2006 wa spent with Cazua, cause we had to settle the Principle of Accounts project. He said my idea is pretty evil, though it would work out nicely and is interesting =) It is all those theories that we can’t recall, and had to refer to the textbook which we wouldn’t do most of the time.

I brought my school shoes, stationaries just to prepare myself before school starts on Wednesday. I’m probably gonna finish either one of the maths by today, and another scene for the SYF script as well.

FEEL.oftheday
Ten to five but at least we tried,
we’re still alive but hope just died,
as they close the door behind you.
Whistle blows and tons of steel,
shake the ground beneath the wheels,
as I wish I never found you.

It was a trip to Kallang Theatre today for our registration at Dance Horizon. Imagine that, have to travel down there every saturday for practice starting from next week!

I arrived at lakeside MRT station to meet wup with the clique but I arrived too early. I actually brought my notebook along to do some scriptwriting since the dateline is drawing close. While sitting near the control station, I caught a glimpse of Pei Xuan’s shoes somewhere and it was obviously her with that matching of pants and shoes. But didn’t met up with her first since amazing ideas struck me and I had to note them down (because I have slightly poorer memory =/). I waited for Sean and soon, all of us gathered and went on the MRT. The reunion of Sean and Wan Ting, Ha!

Clara actually squeezed through the crowd on the MRT to meet up with us since Pei Xuan told her the wrong carriage we were in. Everybody arrived there on time, wow! Because we did not expect everybody to be on time, we arrived at our destination much earlier than we’re supposed to.
We took the bus 11 and there was this Chicken Little, December 1st, Coming Soon advertisement and I was wondering … December 1st of which year?! Upon reaching the outskirts of Kallang Theatre, its like all the memories were coming back now. Waiting outside the theatre and taking insane photographs … *laughs*. Those memories are sweet, but not that baby head on a pole. Toy Abuse!

We were quite dumb, took the wrong lift and switched over at the 5th floor. However, the other group blindly took the lift down to the ground level and switched over …! We waited for a while, registered ourselves and took our measurements. We were also introduced to our dance teachers, and the following are teachers in-charge of the guys’ course: Guohao-laoshi, Wu-laoshi, Cheng-laoshi. Wei Heng’s bicep measurement is 10cm?! Wow. The 6 of us went to KFC afterwards and went separate ways after taking the MRT. On yea, on the MRT, Wan Ting’s gameboy was attracting lots of kids’ attention … really!

Writer’s Block

Writer’s block, this thing came back to me today after such a long time. I’m finally writing the SYF ‘07 script for drama and I’ve to get it done by the 1st day of school. Good thing my intuition did not turn its back on me, enabling me to craft the story from beginning til end in my mind. And I’m only done with 1 scene.

I translated the 2nd line of the greeting card! The 3rd and 4th line is giving me a little problem since kids’ handwriting tend to be less readable. Moreover, I’m not very familiar with Japaneses words! I translate whenever I feel lazy writing the script halfway through, and resume later on:
????????? -> I’m fine too.

Stupid internet, last few days of my holiday and it faces such a problem!

P.S: Dance Club members, please refer to the dance blog for updates concerning this Saturday.

As most have realised by now, the internet is quite non-existent at this point of time due to slow internet traffic. I was quite freaked out at first in the morning, thinking that my router is wrecking my day apart because of its past bad records. However, while surfing the internet, I realized local sites are accessible while foreign sites would load much slower. So I tried to get on some local news sites but I forgot the URL. Eureka! Google! But damn, I can’t access google so I tried my luck with Yahoo! which took some painful minutes. Eventually I accessed CNA and read through the articles to come about the Taiwan Earthquake.

The disruption to international telecom and Internet services Wednesday caused by a strong earthquake in Taiwan highlight our increasing dependence on high-tech cable systems across the world.

The earthquake, measuring 7.1 on the Richter scale, hit southern Taiwan hard late Tuesday and disturbed several of the massive submarine cables running offshore which link countries in Asia with the United States and beyond.

The first thing that came to my mind wasn’t “So thats why I can’t access this site!”, it was my mum and sister as they went to Taiwan. I tried making calls but they won’t get through until at 11PM, I heard their voices and they were safe as they were at another state. Phew.

In the afternoon, the postman came by and handed me a package. I was quite amazed by the shape of that package as it was not a box or letter. Upon signing the invoice, I knew it was something from my foster family in Japan who I home-stayed with when I went for an exchange program in 2004’s September.
It was a Ayumi Hamasaki 2007 Wall Calendar! Oh my, I was left speechless and the total cost of the present is shocking. 3600 yen … S$47! It is the 2nd present they’ve sent me, the 1st present was during my birthday this day (a Koda Kumi CD)! Saw that, Christopher, jealous?! *laughs* Doesn’t really matter when I spent $2 more for that disc when I’ve got this =)
There were also 2 postcards by the kids! Argh, it is seriously taking me a long time to translate it myself, referring to the Hiragana and Katakana charts and translating word by word. And so far, I’ve only managed to translate the first line: ??????????? [genki desu ka.] which lterally translates to “how are you?”. Pathetic ain’t I?
