Ever heard of a such thing called chain reaction? It’s like series of events, each caused by the previous one. I should have no problems getting an A this time for Chinese, even thought I hadn’t study as much as I did for the previous attempt. The reason was because I finally realized the importance of this paper as its within the examination period. So I learnt this lesson:
Don’t take anything for granted. If you want something badly, show that you deserve it.
I would say the paper is much easier. Paper 1 was a breeze, wrote informal letter and a discussion on the sour relationship between maids and employers. If something in Paper 2 had to screw up, it has to be the first section. I finished 10 minutes before time and, felt like singing a song so I whispered =) I’m singing in english anyways (This I Promise You by NSYNC).
Alex, Edward and Zhikai: You guys can do it! Hope all of us get the desirable results we really want!
I’m not emo, or acting cool or pissed off in the morning. It’s just because… I had a tummyache and lack of sleep. That was the reason why I slept for 1 hour during the mathematics paper. The paper was nice to do, manage to finish in an hour which includes checking. Guess it’d be >95/100, hopefully.
I’m retaking Chinese tomorrow, wish me luck =) I’d hate to score another B3.
Haziq and Cheryl is a funny couple. By couple, I mean duo/pair, not lovers (well, if they were one, it would be nice). They were like, quarreling all the way on the MRT. She calls him malay and then he fights back. When I got off the train, I can still hear their debate before the door shut tight. I’m amused =)
I have to score A1 for chinese. Not because of O level cert but a bet =) I’m gonna make Ze Yi run around the school next year once we get our results.
I wasn’t watching The Simpsons for nothing for the past 2 weeks, finishing seasons 1, 17 and 18. Managed to accumulated a handful amount of vocabularies for the essay today, which sums up to about 6? Trust me, I can’t remember their spelling now and could only guess vaguely. These were the new words I learnt:
Troglodyte, Blasphemy, Territoriality, Torrid, Ingenuously, Cringe
Not fanciful to those who have good command of the language though, but I guess I did well today. Perhaps the best I ever tried for English paper, hope I get a desirable result for my efforts.
Mathematics paper nearly made me fell asleep. It was the 3rd paper for the day and man, it is sure tiring. Do well tomorrow and A1 is secured. I’m revising PoA at the moment and I’m reading the whole damn textbook. Stupid ain’t I? But I need to review the fundamentals so I can improvise if I forget anything difficult =)
If you ain’t got the land, how can tall buildings be built? Start from the lowest point to end up somewhere high up there.
Come to think of it, O levels are gonna be over real soon. Just a couple more papers and thats it, a happy feeling. But yea, it also marks the end of secondary school life. So most probably friends are gonna be scattered everywhere after that again, and we have to bond new friendships that come our way and break some.
So there comes this day we have to say goodbye. Or we might not even say it, and let distance between us grow further. Years later we might find ourselves asking, “why did I ever let it go?” Perhaps some things are for the better, or the worse which we will never know, but all these start with a unpleasant feeling of separation.
Tomorrow’s a long day anyways, with both English papers and mathematics paper 1. The examination starts at 8AM guys, don’t be late or you’re screwed!

Yea, she’s late again. Lucky I anticipated and woke up 30 minutes later - I still had to wait 30 minutes under my block, argh. Had breakfast at Macdonald, saw honxuen and marf and went off to mug at the library. Managed to finish my physics revision, really had a hard time coping with the difference between mass and weight.
Oh yea, while I was ordering my breakfast, I said “Egg McMuffin with Egg.” Yilin is gonna laugh her head off if she sees this.
So mug, mug and slack. Played Initial D at the Arcade and man, it was tough. I spoiled the basketball machine thing, got unlimited throws =) After I went off, people were taking advantage of it - the never-ending ball game. Awesome eh? I think I smashed the mechanics that was supposed to stop the ball from rolling down.
I found this in one of the cabinet in the gents. Interesting, it stops people from cam-whoring in there, but it doesn’t stop me from taking it!
